That’s right internet world, the dynamic duo of Jake and Jill are back online! It feels like it has been so long, I find myself fumbling for where to begin (or end) with everything that we’ve encountered this 2017 year. The literal disconnect from the civilized world is an incredible thing. Its still an adjustment. If only there was a magical way to summarize 6 months of extreme adventures into one single blog post. We have so much to talk about, you readers and I (well, more like us, but since Jake doesn’t blog much its mostly me, Jill).
This time will be different. We want you to experience, first-hand, what we did. The amazing tale deserves to be told in its entirety. So, rather than trying to catch up the blog to re-enact the adventures of the Te Araroa, we are going to take a stab at writing a book. [So if anyone knows any publishers out there, feel free to let us know.] 😉
In the mean time, we will slowly infiltrate the blog with photos, a few bits and pieces of the adventure along the way, and of course, video. I haven’t forgotten that we still have heaps of video to catch us up to date from sailing adventures and Cuba, Iceland and New Zealand as well. This adventuring life leaves little time to accomplish the work of sharing it with the world. It will happen in time, I promise!
It has been exactly 6 months to the day of our New Zealand adventure, and it just so happens to fall on a Monday, that is, today. And its not a Monday Montage without some photos!
